What is teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic tooth whitening procedure where a concentrated gel is applied to the tooth surface. It is combined with a LED light which lift stains from the tooth surface. It is a 60-minute treatment and is totally safe and pain free.
How do stains happen?
Your teeth have pores just like your skin or a sponge. Anything that you put in your mouth, the color will be absorbed into the pores. Stains can occur for many reasons such as lifestyle, the food you eat, certain medications, smoking age.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Teeth whitening is not permanent and everyone's teeth are different and stain at different rates. On average the whitening results last 4-6 months. To achieve optimal results we highly recommend you have a dental cleaning before getting your teeth whitening if you haven't had one done in the last 6 months.
How many sessions do I need & how often can I do?
If desired results are reached, we can do another treatment 4-6 months later touch ups are also available if needed they can be done 1-3 weeks apart, if they feel no sensitivity they can come after 48 hours. One session is usually enough but if you have heavy staining another session is required. However, results are immediate.
Will this harm or hurt my teeth?
The gel we use is health U.S. approved & safe for the enamel. If your teeth is done in moderation there is no harm. Only when it's excessively done, whitening can cause softening of the enamel. You will feel little to no sensitivity.
Is it safe for pregnant or nursing mothers?
Unfortunately it isn't safe for pregnant or nursing mothers because the product I am using contains hydrogen peroxide.
